After being accused by a Black woman of kidnapping his Haitian adoptive daughter, Chris recounts the incident to his friends in his support group, revealing the situation has affected his confidence in his ability to be a parent. Chris reflects on first meeting with his daughters and the hell he went through to make it happen.
Lorenzo and Carla – Having transitioned her job into a remote workflow, Carla, has set her life up so she doesn’t have to drive – uber eats, grocery deliver, etc…., leaving Lorenzo to be the dad who’s always at the school pick up, but Carla’s arrangement is causing unwanted attention for Lorenzo by a certain mom at school.
Boys’ day out – Chris and Antwan take out some pent-up aggression while playing handball, forcing Lorenzo to once again be the voice of reason.
Jamal and Alexis – Alexis and Jamal consider adding another adoptive child to their family, until their son recommends his white friend from school, throwing a wrench in their plans.
Zane and Antwan – The two men find themselves out of their element as their once cute demur daughter starts transitioning into becoming a woman.
Deidra finds a new friend for the group. Just as Police Officer Sean Becker and his wife debate whether being in the group is a good match for them. Chris wants to go back to Haiti to check on Peterson, but Deidra has reservations. Carla prepares herself to pick the kids up but has a breakdown once she’s behind the wheel and Lorenzo comes to the rescue again.
